- An EVM consists of a "control unit" and a "balloting unit". The control unit is with the Election Commission-appointed polling officer; the balloting unit is in the voting compartment into where voter casts her vote in secret. It runs on a single alkaline battery fitted in the control unit, and can even be used in areas that have no electricity. EVMs were 1st used in 1982 Kerala Assembly elections (by-election)
- Trade Union Act, 1926 provides for the constitution and registration of trade unions in India. It permits any association of seven workers to be registered as a union.Government Servants cannot form trade unions under the Trade Unions Act, 1926.
- MADAD Portal is an online grievances monitoring system launched by the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) in 2015. The e-portal provides Indian citizens living abroad an online platform in which they can file consular grievances to the Indian government.

- Gasification is a process that converts organic or fossil fuel based carbonaceous materials into carbon monoxide, hydrogen and carbon dioxide. This is achieved by reacting the material at high temperatures (>700’C), without combustion, with a controlled amount of oxygen and/or steam.
