There are five portals being developed for specific sectors by different organizations viz, BHEL for power sector equipment, HMT for machine tools, CMFTI for manufacturing technology, ICAT and ARAI for automotive sector.

2. Active Respirator Mask

It is an innovative solution to the rebreathing of carbon dioxide, exhaled moisture, and sweaty and hot environment inside the mask.

It also improved the clarity of speech of a person with a face mask and assures comfortable, hygienic breathing to protect the wearer from exposure to airborne contaminants.

It is developed by S.N. Bose National Centre For Basic Sciences (SNBNCBS), Kolkata.
3. Long-Lasting Nano-sanitiser

It is a solution to the problems caused by the use of the general sanitisers like dehydration of skin due to frequent use and nature of instantaneous antimicrobial action of common sanitisers without protective role.

It assures comfortable and hygienic hand sanitisation for a longer duration.

4. Khasi Freedom Fighter U Tirot Sing Syiem

Recently, the 185th Death Anniversary of freedom fighter 'U Tirot Sing Syiem' was observed in Shillong.

U Tirot Sing Syiem was the first Khasi ruler to rebel against the British Empire.

The National People’s Youth Front (NPYF) also organized the U Tirot Sing Syiem Youth Achievement Award to commemorate the 185th Death Anniversary of Khasi freedom fighter.
5. NISHTHA Online

Recently, the first on-line NISHTHA programme for 1200 Key Resources Persons of Andhra Pradesh was launched.

NISHTHA is a National Initiative for School Heads’ and Teachers’ Holistic Advancement at the elementary stage under Samagra Shiksha.

It is a massive training programme to motivate and equip teachers to encourage and foster critical thinking in students.

It is a capacity building programme for "Improving Quality of School Education through Integrated Teacher Training".
6. First Container Ship from Kolkata Port to Agartala

Recently, the Ministry of Shipping has flagged off the first trial container ship from Kolkata to Agartala through Chattogram Port of Bangladesh.

It is a part of the Agreement on use of Chattogram and Mongla Ports for movement of India’s transit cargo through Bangladesh.

It will provide the alternative and shorter route to connect the North East Region through Bangladesh.
7. Data Base on Migrant Workers
- The Parliamentary Standing Committee on Home Affairs has advised the government to set up a national database of migrant workers.
- The database would protect the migrant workers from falling out of the social security cover.
8. PRASHAD Scheme

Recently, the Ministry of Tourism has inaugurated a project "Development of Pilgrimage Amenities at Somnath, Gujarat" under PRASHAD scheme.

The ‘National Mission on Pilgrimage Rejuvenation and Spiritual, Heritage Augmentation Drive’ (PRASHAD) was launched by the Ministry of Tourism in 2014-15.

Its objective is integrated development of identified pilgrimage and heritage destinations.

It is aimed at infrastructure development such as entry points (Road, Rail and Water Transport), last mile connectivity, basic tourism facilities like Information/ Interpretation Centers, ATM/ Money exchange etc.

It was proposed to be implemented as a Central Sector Scheme during the 12th Five Year Plan and beyond.
