- Gas hydrates are formed when a gas such as methane gets trapped in well-defined cages of water molecules forming crystalline solids. It is a solid ice-like form of water that contains gas molecules in its molecular cavities. Natural gas hydrates occur on continental margins and shelves worldwide from Polar Regions to the tropics
- According to 2011 census, the tribal population in India is over 104 million which is spread across 705 tribes and accounts for 8.6% of country’s population. Numerically M.P. has highest tribal population (15mn) followed by Maharashtra (10mn), Odisha and Rajasthan.

- National Mission for Sustainable Agriculture(NMSA) is envisaged as one of the eight Missions outlined under National Action Plan on Climate Change (NAPCC). The major thrust is enhancing agriculture productivity especially in rainfed areas focusing on integrated farming, soil health management, and synergizing resource conservation.
