National Defence Academy (NDA) Entrance Examination 2024 Classroom Coaching in Chennai

• The National Defence Academy located in (Pune) Maharashtra is the common platform for training the three wings of Indian Defence namely the Indian Army, Indian Navy and Indian Air Force. NDA is the core foundation for a career in the Indian military services. Training, as well as an education program, has 4 years. In the initial three years cover courses in all subjects for a University Degree plus the basic training of basic military sciences. After the successful completion of the three years, the cadet gets a University Degree. The final year puts more emphasis on the specialization into the particular branch of the Indian military services that a cadet desires to join. Army cadets go to the IMA at Dehradun, Air Force cadets to the flying training establishments in Hyderabad and the Naval cadets for Midshipman training to the Training Ships.

NDA/NA 2024 Educational Qualifications

For Army wing of National Defence Academy

• 12th Class pass of the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent examination conducted by a State Education Board or a University.

For Air Force and Naval Wings of National Defence Academy and for the 10+2 Cadet Entry Scheme at the Indian Naval Academy

• 12th Class pass with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics of the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent conducted by a State Education Board or a University.

• A Candidate must be an unmarried Male and age between 16 ½ to 19 ½ years.

• Cut-off Marks: Minimum qualifying standard/marks at the written stage and marks secured by the last candidate in the merit order at final stage of the examination.

NDA/NA Cut-off Marks “TIE” - Principles

Wherever two or more candidates have secured equal aggregate marks in NDA & NA Examination the tie (s) have been resolved in accordance with the following principles approved by the Commission, viz

• In case of equal marks in aggregate, the candidates’ getting more marks in the written examination has been placed at a higher rank.
• In case of equal marks in written examination also, the candidates getting more marks in General Ability Test (GAT) paper has been placed at a higher rank.
• In case of equal marks in GAT paper, the candidates’ senior by age has been placed at a higher rank.
