ABOUT SAINIK SCHOOLS SOCIETY (SSS)
Sainik Schools Society (SSS) is an autonomous organization under the Ministry of Defence, Govt of India. The Society runs Sainik Schools. Sainik Schools are English medium residential schools affiliated to CBSE. Sainik Schools prepare Cadets to join the National Defence Academy (NDA), Khadakwasla (Pune), Indian Naval Academy, Ezhimala and other Training Academies for officers. At present there are a total of 33 Sainik Schools across the country. List of Complete Sainik Schools in India is given in this article.

ADMISSION TO SAINIK SCHOOLS
Sainik Schools: (SS)
Admission to Class VI and Class IX of the 33 Sainik Schools for the academic year 2025, is through a written exam called AISSEE 2025.
Admission is based on the performance of candidates in the All-India Sainik Schools Entrance Examination (AISSEE). The admission of candidates will be carried out on the basis of ecounselling as per rank secured by the candidates in the School wise, gender wise, category wise (Home State and Out Side State) Merit List of AISSEE 2024, medical fitness approved by competent medical authorities and verification of original documents.
Admission process:
1. Admission to Class VI and Class IX for the academic year 2025-26
2. Admission process: Any student who is eligible can apply. Candidates have to appear and qualify in AISSEE 2025. Qualified candidates will be required to apply for e-counseling after declaration of results
3. Eligibility for Sainik 9 : A candidate should be between 13 and 15 years as on 31 March 2024, for admission to Class IX, i.e. he should have been born between 01 April 2010 and 31 March 2012 (both days inclusive) for admission to the academic year 2025-26.
He should have passed Class VIII exam from a recognized school at the time of admission.
4. Qualifying requirements: Min. 25% marks in each section and 40% marks in the aggregate. This does not apply to SC, ST candidates
5. Merit List : Merit list will be prepared based on the marks secured in AISSEE 2025. It will be prepared School wise, category wise (Home State and outside State), separately for boys and girls. Admission will be based on the position of the candidate in the Merit List . Domicile/Category will be considered for preparing this Merit List.

INTER-SE MERIT OF CANDIDATES IN CAS E OF A TIE:
In case the total marks scored by two or more candidates in AISSEE 2023 are equal, the interse merit shall be determined as follows:
Marks obtained in the written exam will determine his/ her position in the Final Merit List. In case there is a tie with regard to overall marks, the marks for individual subjects/ factors will be considered in the following order of priority: -
